Genext Active Orthotics For Plantar Fasciitis (Heel Pain), Metatarsalgia (Ball Of Foot Pain), Pes Planus (Fallen Arches) and Stability

Genext Active Orthotics (formerly known as "Beats") are designed to help you combat Plantar Fasciitis (Heel Pain) and Metatarsalgia (Ball Of Foot Pain). In just a few days you could be slipping these orthotics into your shoes to chase away the pains associated fallen arches, sore ankles, tired feet and so much more.

The top-cover is a suede like polyester that wicks away moisture and feels comfy beneath your toes.  Once you take your tired insoles out of your shoes and slip in the Genext Beats Orthotics you will feel instantly different.  With greater stability comes greater confidence, with better alignment comes less pain.  Walking becomes easier which means you will do more of it which is great for managing weight too!

Features Of The Genext Orthotics For Plantar Fasciitis and Metatarsalgia

  • The top cover is made from Polyester
  • The "shell" inside the orthotic is made from cork and rubber
  • The bottom is made from a tri-density bamboo charcoal foam
  • "Posted Heel" Option Available (for fallen arches, pronation, see below)
  • "Metatarsal Pad" Option Available (for ball-of-foot pain, see below)

Will they fit into my non-orthopedic comfort / athletic shoes?

Absolutely. The Genext Orthotics will fit into almost any casual shoe.  In addition the front of the orthotic can be trimmed to fit if it slighly too long for your shoes.  A "top-tip" is to use the insole you removed from the shoe as a template to trim the Genext Orthotic if needed.

Should I get the Posted Heel or Non Posted Heel?

The posted heel is for people who have fallen arches or tend to pronate (walk on the instep of their feet).  If you don't have either of these conditions, the neutral heel is best.

Genext Orthotics and Plantar Fasciitis (Heel Pain)

Genext Orthotics are great for helping pain associated with Plantar Fasciitis, (heel pain, usually experienced in the morning).  We have a page dedicated to discussing Plantar Fasciitis and many reviews mention success in treating Plantar Fasciitis with Genext / Beats Orthotics.

Genext Orthotics & Metatarsalgia (Ball Of Foot Pain)

You have the option to select a "MET PAD" for your orthotics. The Met Pad is for people who have a condition called Metatarsalgia, which is a throbbing pain beneath the balls of the feet.  This met pad sits slightly behind the metatarsal heads which relieves pressure and therefore pain.  Gel inserts may be able to mask some of this pain but for true relief you need to relieve pressure.  We have a page dedicated to discussing Metatarsalgia (ball of foot pain).

Can I machine wash them?

No.

How long do they last?

If you wear your Beats Orthotics all day, everyday, they will last around six months.  Most customers buy a few pairs to put into their various styles of shoe that they wear frequently.  Of course, doing this greatly extends the life of the orthotic.

Are orthotics better than gel inserts?

Yes. Gel inserts generally just mask the bio-mechanical problems your feet are facing whereas functional orthotics, like Genext / Beats orthotics control joint movement by a series of levers known as posts or wedges placed on the base surface of the orthosis shell.  The goal here is to reinstate normal gait patterns by deviating ground reactive forces through altered and ideally neutral positions of joints. Genext Beats are a functional foot orthotic system designed as an affordable off-the-shelf alternative to expensive custom molded orthotics that often cost several hundred dollars per pair.
